We believe in flexibility and adaptability, meaning we tailor our approach based on your current skill level and aspirations. Below is a clear breakdown of our Driver Development Ladder, which can be adjusted based on your needs.

Step 1: Choose Your Starting Point

1-Day Racing School

  • Best For: Drivers who want a fun, introductory experience in a race car.
  • Details: This option is perfect if you're not looking to pursue a racing career but still want to experience the thrill of driving a race car on track. The 1-day school offers a low-cost, no-pressure introduction to racing, with basic instruction and safety training.
  • Outcome: No racing license. Great for those who want to experience the excitement of track driving.

3-Day Racing School (SCCA Accredited)

  • Best For: Drivers who are serious about starting their racing journey and possibly pursuing a racing career, looking to gain experience in a downforce race car, or simply want more seat time.
  • Details: This is the most logical next step for most drivers. Our 3-day course is SCCA accredited, allowing participants to earn their SCCA Novice Race License upon completion. You’ll receive a deeper, more comprehensive education in racing techniques, learning downforce, safety, and rules, setting you up for future success on track.
  • Outcome: Earn your SCCA Novice Race License, preparing you to race in SCCA regional events.

Step 2: Advanced Training and Race Preparation

2-Day Advanced Racing Course (SCCA Accredited)

  • Best For: Drivers ready to take their racing to the next level and for active licensed racers looking to gain insight into downforce prototypes.
  • Details: After completing the 3-day school, the next step is our 2-day Advanced Racing Course. This course focuses on refining your skills, including advanced racecraft, car control, and race strategy. Upon successful completion, you’ll earn your SCCA Full Competition License.
  • Outcome: Obtain your SCCA Full Competition License, opening the door to national-level racing.

Step 3: Get Racing Experience

AMP Race Series

  • Best For: Drivers looking for lower-cost, less-committed racing experience in a more casual environment.
  • Details: The AMP Race Series is a great way to experience real-world racing with lower financial commitment. This series is ideal for drivers looking to gain experience in competitive racing while keeping costs more manageable.

SCCA Regional Racing

  • Best For: Drivers looking to compete at the regional level and develop experience on a variety of tracks.

Radical Cup North America

  • Best For: Drivers who are ready to compete at the national level and further their motorsport career.
  • Details: The Radical Cup North America series is the pinnacle of our ladder system, offering a true national-level racing experience. This series allows you to showcase your skills against top competitors on some of the most prestigious tracks across North America. Primal Racing offers a full arrive-and-drive service, including trackside support, coaching, transportation, and more!
  • Outcome: Compete at a national level with the Radical Cup and make your name known to advance your motorsport career.
